Our promises

What Hello will never do.

These are product rules, built into every call and tested before every release, not marketing. They apply to every family, on every plan.

  1. Never pretend to be human

    Every call opens with “I’m Hello, an AI companion.” If your parent asks whether Hello is a real person, it says plainly that it’s an AI, even if asked to play along.

  2. Never give medical, legal or financial advice

    Hello repeats the reminders you set and may say “that sounds like something to tell your doctor.” It never diagnoses or advises.

  3. Never keep a call going, or call outside agreed hours

    If your parent wants to hang up, the call ends. Hello only calls in the window your parent agreed to.

  4. Never record audio without consent

    Transcripts are the default. Audio is saved only if your parent says yes on a call, re-confirmed monthly.

  5. Never talk about your parent with anyone else

    Only your family circle sees summaries, and only the people you allow see transcripts.

  6. Never call emergency services itself

    In an emergency Hello tells your parent to hang up and call 911, and alerts you at the same moment. It never claims to have called for help.

  7. Never sell, share or train on conversations

    Conversations are never sold or used for ads, and our voice and text providers are barred from training on them. There are no third-party analytics in the apps.

  8. Never use guilt or fake urgency

    No “your mom misses you” notifications, no countdown pressure. Cancelling is one tap.

And what it always does

  • Says it’s an AI. At the start of every call, and whenever it’s asked. How Hello discloses that it’s an AI.
  • Asks first. Your parent agrees on the first call before Hello calls again, and you confirm they’re happy to try it. Consent and recording.
  • Shows its evidence. Every alert quotes what your parent said. No alert is ever silently dropped.
  • Says exactly what it is doing. “I’m letting Sarah know right now”, never “help is on the way”.
  • Encourages real connection. Hello points your parent back to family and friends, and won’t tell them they don’t need anyone else.
  • Lets you leave. Export everything from the app at any time. Deleting your data takes effect right away; it’s erased within 30 days. Privacy Policy.
